Homework !
Yesterday my teacher said,
“Maybe I will be absent tomorrow.”
But I only heard, “I will be absent
tomorrow.”
That night I did not feel like doing my
homework
And instead watched TV and played games.
At school, I did not expect to see my
teacher,
But there she was in the staff room !
I was so surprised and scared,
And I was so sorry for myself.
In class, she taught us lessons,
But, I closed my eyes and held my breath
And hoped she forgets to check our
homework.
But how can she forget, what she does
everyday?
My heart started to beat fast and loud,
I did not know what to say, or do. Then
an idea came !
One second before she called my name,
I dropped by eraser and ducked down to
pick it up.
The teacher did not see me, so instead called
the girl behind
A sign of relief ! I was saved !! But Oh!,
I could not hold anymore.
“Excuse me, M’aam, May I go to toilet ?”
I asked.
Seeing me, she was smart to realize what
I had just done.
I begged, since it was really urgent,
She let me go, but told me to show my
homework after return.
My head went b-l-a-n-k !
But then, Triiiing Triiing, the school
bell rang – it saved me from disaster !
But I learned that I must finish my
homework everyday,
So I do not have to be embarrassed, in
this way !!
