Holidays ! oh, such a sweet word ! For we students, the word 'holiday' gives us a sensation of joy. A sensation of relief from studies and everyday chores of a school-day.

Yes, as a normal student, I enjoy my holidays. It is normal for a student to have fun during holidays but it is equally important not to waste time and learn also. Nowadays students are busy with their phones, tablets, computers and TVs, whatsoever and this is a very unproductive way to spend holidays, if we are not learning any skills or gaining knowledge. Long duration of fun and distraction and detach our minds from studies for students.

My teacher once said, “Holidays are not just ‘fun-days’ but it is also a ‘study-leave’.” I thought about this sentence and it clearly demonstrates that holidays are given so that we are able to learn something on our own without much pressure. A holiday does not have to be a full day of study or a full day of fun – but a balance between study and fun. Studying during the holidays can help us understand difficult topics which we could not understand during school.

Holidays can be utilized in many ways. Sports, arts, crafts, learning music are some of them. I am trying to learn to play the piano. Learning to play a piano, by reading the musical notes, is like a learning a new language – which is difficult at the beginning but slowly we can get better at it. Musical notes are an internationally understood language and nowadays we can learn musical notes through youtube channels, very easily. Music relaxes our mind and it is a good way to spend time. Music can help you win when your heart feel defeated.

Friends, let us make our holidays enjoyable by doing what we enjoy with hard work and dedication. Every holiday can be made productive, which will lead us to the top.
