Stage Fright

Stage fright

During their first stage performance, everybody is afraid. They think that if I make a mistake, in front of everyone, the audience will think that I am not good enough. But you just have to fearlessly say your part on stage, even if you make some mistakes. Because of this fear, most students are shy and do not take advantage of the opportunity to be on stage. But that is a mistake.
During my first time on stage, when I was in grade one, I too made a lot of mistakes, but I was admired for being the first grader who spoke from the stage. Some of my friends also teased me, but when our teacher said, “You are wrong to tease him, as none of you dared to even go up on stage.” From that very day, I have always looked forward to these opportunities to be on stage.
Therefore, I encourage all students to speak fearlessly and fluently on stage. If you don’t speak now, when will you have the courage to speak in the future? If you don’t try and make mistakes now when you are in school, what will you do in the future? On stage, mistakes made will be admired. So please friends, at least try, because there is no best, there is only good and striving for the better.

Our Teachers

On the occasion of Teachers' Day - 2017

Our Teachers

We are students. We need education. So we have to go to school for knowledge, friendship, and developing our skills. And to get all these, we need the help of teachers.

There are many teachers in a school and all of them do their best to educate us. We just simply cannot understand their efforts and we do some mischieves.

But still we must respect our teachers. We must listen to them carefully to understand them. Teachers give us knowledge in every way.

When I was at lower classes, I was like a tree without strong deep roots. I could not do many things properly. Then my teachers helped me from each and every way and made my foundation strong. Now I can stand properly and this is because of the help and support given by our teachers.

Our Teachers are the passage of knowlege that leads to greatness.

Thank you Teachers !!

My Sister

My Sister

Apr 21, 2017-

I remember the day my sister was born,
The day I had been waiting on for so long
I thought she would jump and play with me,
But she came out so small and only stared at me
Soon she started to walk and crawl,
Took her first few steps, but only to fall
But tried again and again,
Learning her skills amazingly well
Now she has grown,
 She can jump and play,
She can dance and sing
And she always has so much to say
My sister wakes me up
And helps me pack my bag
She goes to school with me
Sometimes she also nags
Oh, my sister is a mark of joy
She is my best friend and sometimes a toy
She gives me lots of love and care,
She also knows how to share

My Poem

Old Days

It was so nice before
We could play so much
Everything was green and brown
It was just like a village town

It is so bad now
We can't play a bit
Everything is colorless
It's just like New York city
All the trees are Chopped down
Car and bikes everywhere

My Favorite Poems

O Captain! My Captain!

Related Poem Content Details

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
                         But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
                                  Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
                         Here Captain! dear father!
                            This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
                                 You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
                            But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
                                  Fallen cold and dead.

The Charge of the Light Brigade

Related Poem Content Details

I
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
   Rode the six hundred.
“Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!” he said.
Into the valley of Death
   Rode the six hundred.

II
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”
Was there a man dismayed?
Not though the soldier knew
   Someone had blundered.
   Theirs not to make reply,
   Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die.
   Into the valley of Death
   Rode the six hundred.

III
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
   Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of hell
   Rode the six hundred.

IV
Flashed all their sabres bare,
Flashed as they turned in air
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
   All the world wondered.
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right through the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reeled from the sabre stroke
   Shattered and sundered.
Then they rode back, but not
   Not the six hundred.

V
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
   Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell.
They that had fought so well
Came through the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of hell,
All that was left of them,
   Left of six hundred.

VI
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
   All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
   Noble six hundred!

Japan Festival

Japan Festival

On November 26, at Kathmandu's Tundikhel, I, my sister and my Dad went to a attend a Japanese Festival. This festival was celebrated on 60th Anniversary of Japan – Nepal friendship. We could learn many things about Japanese culture and we had lots of fun.

At first I and my sister played a small goldfish fishing game. We could fish four fish which we could bring home. (but the fish were plastic fish, this time). Then we tried target shooting, which I missed all my chances. Then after we meet the famous Japanese Actor from Power Ranger movies, Mr. Shun Shioya. We took pictures with him and is autograph. We heard that he loved Nepalese children very much and how he worked hard to be successful. Next we ate our snacks and some Japanese food – similar to mo mo. Then there was a Japanese group dance called Obon Odori, with loud beats of Japanese drum called taiko. Every one enjoyed the dance.

For the children, there was a face painting stall, where a sister painted a cartoon ( Doraemon) on my arm and a Hello Kitty on my sister's arm. In no time I went to learn and make Origami and Calligraphy, and played Kendama.

Soon there was another performance ( Koto Performance) there we could listen the song that tells Japan's beauty. Then there was an another performance called Kendo. It was a Japanese stick fight, with loud shouts by opponents. Then Judo, and Karate was performed. All of these were very scary and exiting.

There was a large crowd at the Festival. I am fortunate to have attended it. After all these exiting events, we returned home safe and sound.
